  • The average pro boxer earns between $22k- $37k. They pay for their own travel, training and management fees from these earnings, so their take home pay is already reduced.

  • Boxing is one of the few sports where athletes can be paid tens of millions for just one event. Whilst this is the case for only a handful of pro boxers, MOST barely make anything close to this.

  • Many boxers can suffer from career ending injuries with little to fall back on to support them financially.
